COMPLIANCE COMO FERRAMENTA HÁBIL À CONSOLIDAÇÃO DA GOVERNANÇA CORPORATIVA E A SUSTENTABILIDADE EMPRESARIAL

Abstract

This article establishes correlations between compliance instruments and the institute of corporate governance, denoting the role assumed by both in the achievement and perpetuation of business activity, their adequacy to the standards and regulations governing their eld of action and the formulas that shape and imply business performance. Therefore, it aims to relate corporate governance with established compliance practices as a formula for the perpetuation of the company. In turn, the specic objectives of this article are: to elucidate the importance of corporate governance for business integrity; Present the usual compliance mechanisms and list benets arising from the implementation of compliance in line with corporate governance. A deductive approach, a qualitative approach and a bibliographic and documentary research method were used. As a result, it was observed the relationship of codependence between the corporate governance institute and the compliance programs, the latter acting as an instrument to achieve the former. It is noteworthy that the present research corroborates the trend of implementing compliance techniques as a favorable measure for business development and sustainability
