Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the working conditions for those involved in environments related to the creation or production of food through genetic engineering processes. The applied methodology was deductive; regarding research methods, a bibliographic approach was used, utilizing doctrine, legislation, and scientific articles on the subject; in terms of objectives, the research is qualitative. This article explores the laboratory and environmental impacts associated with working conditions for those involved in the manipulation of genetically modified foods. It reveals that although safety practices are in place, there is still a need to enhance measures to mitigate risks and ensure worker health. Investing in better working conditions and appropriate training is crucial to promote a safer and more sustainable work environment. These improvements not only benefit the workers but also contribute to the quality and safety of the produced food. The research examines the structure of the work environment, occupational risks, safety and health practices for workers, as well as training and qualification strategies. The results provide a comprehensive view of labor conditions and suggest improvements to promote a healthy work environment.
