OBJEÇÕES À CONSTITUIÇÃO AMERICANA DE 1787: AS PERSPECTIVAS DOS ANTIFEDERALISTAS NO CONTEXTO DO SURGIMENTO DA NOVA ORDEM CONSTITUCIONAL DOS ESTADOS UNIDOS
Resumo
O presente artigo analisa as ideias antifederalistas no contexto da ratificação da Constituição Americana de 1787. Tais concepções contrapunham-se às propostas dos Federalistas, considerando o conceito de república, a ideia de centralização do poder, direitos e liberdades individuais, assim como a representação política dos eleitores. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho faz considerações sobre o contexto do embate travado entre Federalistas e antifederalistas, ressaltando, em especial os ideais antifederalistas no que tange à implantação do novo modelo institucional norte-americano. Por fim, faz uma reflexão sobre o legado dos antifederalistas.
