Abstract

The supply of electrical energy is essential for the socioeconomic development of rural populations living in less favored and difficult to access regions, so access to electrical energy provides a positive impact on improving the quality of life and other basic services that involve health, education and even communication needs. The research aimed to demonstrate the importance of implementing the Light for All Program for the development of municipalities in the interior of the State of Amazonas. To prepare this work, the deductive method was used, which sought to draw a relationship between aspects of urban law and the contribution of social programs to the development of cities, based on the bibliographic study of works and other interdisciplinary research. Finally, it was found that it is necessary to discuss energy development and sustainability practices in the implementation and execution of public policies aimed at energy efficiency programs.
