THE NEPECC WINTER SCHOOL DIALOGUES OF THE ENNACTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY EXTENTIONS

Abstract
The university is a key space for the enaction of debates and the conceptual constructions, that contribute to the development of the Brazilian society. According to article 207 of the Brazilian current Constitution (1988), the University is composed by three elements: teaching, research and extension. University extension, in particular, plays a crucial role in dialoguing with essential issues for social and human development. The present paper aims to investigate on the construction of fundamental human rights in the public university through extension. Specifically, it seeks first to design a theoretical background related to the Democratic Rule of Law and the doctrine of human rights; at a second moment, it presents an extensionist didactic sequence focused on political citizenship; furthermore, the application of this sequence is analyzed in the specific experience of the Winter School produced by NEPECC (the Center for Studies, Research and Extension "Constitution and Citizenship") of Unesp, campus of Franca. Methodologically, it is applied a deductive approach and case study, associated with literature review and systematic observation of the participants of the Winter School. The present manuscript is structured in a theoretical foundation, didactic sequence model and discussion of the results of the application of the Winter School.
