Abstract

The work aims to analyze public policy, especially environmental public policy, its instruments, the duty of public entities, considering the current scenario of climate emergencies, which makes the application of climate mitigation and adaptation measures increasingly urgent. damages, in addition to achieving socio-environmental justice in a risky scenario. In this way, the aim is to answer the question of whether socio-environmental justice can be achieved through the various instruments of environmental public policy. The question is justified due to the relevance of the topic: socio-environmental emergencies are portraits of the risk scenario of climate emergencies and their effects across the planet. In the investigation phase, the inductive method was used and, in the research report, the inductive logical basis was used. The techniques of referent, category, operational concepts and bibliographic research were also added. In the end, it is concluded that there is a need to consider a duty to implement a solidified environmental public policy, attentive to socio-environmentalism, with the involvement of all actors to face the climate crisis and to achieve socio-environmental justice.
